The University of Stirling India
Award
This award offers a fee waiver of
£1,000 for the first year and £500 for years
two, three and four to every student from India studying
full-time for an undergraduate or postgraduate (taught or
research) degree.
The University of Stirling wishes to offer this award in response
to the many links between India and Scotland. We realize the high
cost of studying in the UK and Stirling wants to make a
contribution and help students from India students to be able to
come and study at Stirling and increase the already diverse
international community on campus.
Students do not have to apply for this award. Each student who
accepts an offer of admission will be provided with details of
how to claim the award payment against the final installment of
the relevant tuition fee.
The award is a waiver of the final £1000 of the overseas tuition
fee paid by an individual student and is not a cash award. In
cases where a student's tuition fee is paid directly from another
source such as a funding body or other scholarship, no tuition
fee waiver is available.

Award

International Sports Scholarship
Programme
Designed for those with an excellent track
record in national junior level competition or beyond, this
scheme provides coaching, sports science services,
lifestyle management support and financial
assistance to talented individuals. Scholar athletes
also have the opportunity to take time out of study and to extend
their degree programmes to help concentrate on competition.
Scholarships are awarded in five core sports:
* Canoeing
* Golf
* Swimming
* Tennis
* Triathlon
Athletes outwith these sports who are competing
at European junior level or beyond may also be considered for a
scholarship award. These sports benefit from co-ordinated and
well-managed sports performance programmes that are
athlete-centred, coach-led. Team members are expected to devote
up to 15 hours per week to their sport to help ensure success.
Stirling reaches the final stages of British Universities' (BUSA)
sports competitions regularly and is predominantly well placed in
the annual BUSA sports
rankings.
BUTEX
Scholarship for International Students
The Scholarship is open to all undergraduate
students currently registered at an institution in the
USA or Canada. To be eligible to apply
you must have been offered a study abroad or exchange place at a
UK university which is BUTEX
affiliated. Your study abroad or exchange place must be for the
academic year 2008/09 and your place must be for a minimum of one
semester.
The value of each scholarship is USD$1000 and will be paid to the the
successful applicants once they have arrived and registered at
their host university.

R. Harper Brown Memorial
Scholarship
The Illinois Saint Andrew Society is pleased to
sponsor this scholarship program which honors the late R. Harper
Brown: Society governor, 1996 Clansman of the Year, co-chair of
the Kith and Kin Campaign and former chairman of the development
committee.
The purpose of the Scholarship Fund is to assist in
defraying the cost of an American (US) college
student's study at a university in Scotland.
In order to be eligible you will need to be:
* at least a graduating senior in high school
with an acceptance and intention to attend university in Scotland
or a student in an accredited American (US) college or university
looking for a study abroad experience
* an ISAS member, or
the child or grandchild of a member
A complete form should be returned as directed
between January 1 and March 31 of the scholarship grant
year.
